I heard that Dale Kalberg who portrayed the strangled nurse passed away. If true, it's a shame. She had great tits!

Nicholas Worth was actually a very versatile character actor, appearing in such films as SWAMP THING, Eastwood's HEARTBREAK RIDGE (small part) & with Eastwood & Burt Reynolds in CITY HEAT; as typical, playing the HEAVIES. He will be missed. And the opening strangulation scene of DALE KALBERG in DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE is a classic, especially the audible SNAP of her bra strap as he peels the cups off her boobs.

Nicholas Worth plays one of the sleaziest and disturbing killers ever in a movie. His performance alone is worth watching. The movie has a gritty, slimy feel to it. If you ever wondered where the expression "I had to take a shower after watching this" came from look no further than Don't Answer the Phone. They don't make em like this any more. They rarely made them like this back then.

Thanks Amanda, glad you liked it! This movie is as sleazy and unpleasant as Maniac, but if you like those kind of films then I'm sure you'll dig this one as well.

Wow, what a great retrospective. I have always wanted to see this (and I believe I have a copy somewhere around here), and this is really enticing me. I love movies like Maniac and Don't Go in the House and of course, I adore horror films in general of that time period.

I'm in awe of you Christian!
