I really like the second half. SPOILER – Once the survivors make it back to town and the sheriff leads a manhunt into the woods it takes a different direction to most rural slashers.

That was a great review to read. Yes I am a fan of Don’t Go In the Woods. It is one of the more original and humorous slasher movies made. I enjoy the look and feel of it as well. The characters weren’t the greatest, but the oddball scenes make it a guilty pleasure. Also you have to love the killer mountain man.

I picked the DVD up the week it was released. It IS so bad it’s good. Wouldn’t mind seeing a sequel to this.

I agree, he is cool. And the DVD is a nice little package – two commentaries and an hour documentary. Fans of Troma-style shlock horror should definitely check this one out, it’s far from scary but it’s lots of fun!

James is a great guy and I encourage all to pick up Code Red’s DVD which is a testament to the director and his film.
