I have both the Embassy VHS and Nelson Home Entertainment VHS, both have totally different covers. I also found the new DVD for $15 but I might resell it (its still sealed) and I just ordered another used DVD for $11. Can’t wait to hear the commentary

I…Love….This….Movie!
I don’t what it is about it, but I can watch it again and again and I won’t get tired of it. I heard somewhere that there is an “uncut” version of it and have actually tracked it down on-line and should be getting it soon. Sure, yeah, there is not movtive and the killer himself is never revealed, blah-blah, but I love this movie anyway. Maybe because I have a love for Radish? I have the Embassy VHS (both in it’s original blue sleeve that boasts the 1-sheet art and the generic white sleeve) and depite every single obvious flaw this film has, I hold on to it with dear life! This is one of those I should watch again and blog about, as I haven’t seen it in a good while. And I need to track down the Code Red DVD…Hmmm…. =)

I’ve yet to find out if it has any real replay value, but I enjoyed it the first time around.

Does anyone know if the song the nerd is listening to when the two guys burst in was made specifically for this movie, or if it can be found somewhere

I like most slasher fans, was initially dissapointed by the lack of a motive in the killer. But, I have come to love this little film, and watch it at least 2wice a year!

The dark, shadowy campus is very atmospheric, with locations like the huge pledge tree and the climactic tower giving the movie an excellent sense of place. One of my favorites from the era.

I remember hating this film mainly because there was not an explanation to who the killer was or what his motivation was. I purchased the film on DVD anyway only because I want to get every 80′s slasher on DVD that’s available and rewatched the film and LOVED IT! I think I was too hard on the film when I first saw it and now would call this a quality slasher. Christian you were spot on with your review of the film in my opinion. It certainly was not the best slasher done in those days but it is certainly worth a look. There is a sense of realism to the film and that is why when there is no explanation to the killer it works.

The story behind Final Exam is more interesting than the actual movie. This is one of those films, along with Savage Streets and Mausolem, that was made with mob money. And Jerry Rushing, Coach in the film, was the real life inspiration for the Dukes of Hazzard. He used to out run the feds while transporting moonshine.

im a huge slasher fan especially the yrs between 1978-83 and i was very excited to get this dvd when released by code red or whoever it was that released it, i gladly dunked 14.99 plus tax at frys electronics only to be very dissapointed, this movie is terrible.
