This was one of my faves as a teen for two reasons.

* I’m a huge Alice Cooper fan!

* I was in love with jennifer cooke ( V / V- The final battle)

So here I was back in the day with a new jason flick with music by cooper and jennifer in those tight blue jeans! I always wished I was the one crouched down between them in my own car…with her driving.

As someone who personally thinks that 1-4 are slasher gold, my opinion is that the series started spirally downward with part 5 (p5 fans always offer interesting points as to why it is good). For me, part 6 is a roller coaster spike upward on the way down.
It captures the F13 tone well, why handling a character that audiences were now paying to see. Each subsequent sequel has something to offer, but p6 is that last one that feels like a Paramount F13 through & through.
All positive points aboot Cooke & Matthews are correct, they are great characters. I also enjoy the “Forest Green” angle where the town has tried to put Jason & Crystal Lake in the past, in an attempt to survive. Jason has become a “legend” to the generation in this part, which is exactly what would happen years after such a large mass murder in a small, vacation/rural town.

Purrty cool.

Second favorite scene is when Jason is watching Paula through the window, stalking her as she walks out of the kids cabin and into her own. Classic Friday the 13th!
