Love this film!

This was one of my faves as a teen for two reasons.

* I'm a huge Alice Cooper fan!

* I was in love with jennifer cooke ( V / V- The final battle)

So here I was back in the day with a new jason flick with music by cooper and jennifer in those tight blue jeans! I always wished I was the one crouched down between them in my own car...with her driving. ;)

Cheeseburger makes an excellent point.

As someone who personally thinks that 1-4 are slasher gold, my opinion is that the series started spirally downward with part 5 (p5 fans always offer interesting points as to why it is good). For me, part 6 is a roller coaster spike upward on the way down.
It captures the F13 tone well, why handling a character that audiences were now paying to see. Each subsequent sequel has something to offer, but p6 is that last one that feels like a Paramount F13 through & through.
All positive points aboot Cooke & Matthews are correct, they are great characters. I also enjoy the "Forest Green" angle where the town has tried to put Jason & Crystal Lake in the past, in an attempt to survive. Jason has become a "legend" to the generation in this part, which is exactly what would happen years after such a large mass murder in a small, vacation/rural town.

I have two favorite scenes in the movie. One, the RV. You cannot beat Jason ramming a girls head into a mirror and stalking Cort while jamming out to Teenage Frankenstein.

Second favorite scene is when Jason is watching Paula through the window, stalking her as she walks out of the kids cabin and into her own. Classic Friday the 13th!

This is the sequel where the filmmakers stopped worrying about writing themselves into a corner and fully embraced the Friday the 13th formula. From here on out audiences knew exactly what they were getting with each subsequent film, for better or worse: an unstoppable Jason slaughtering teens with no surprises and no frills. So on that basic level, yeah, it's pretty entertaining.
