I saw this movie via Cable, good thing they didn’t cut off the good parts (eye gouges, mechanical door splitting, etc.) But can’t say the same for the sex scene (meh, mi casa su casa)

Wonderful sci-fi slasher, it’s kinda hard to do one since it’s really obscure, but this film managed to pull it through just right. I just wish they’ll do a sequel to this. It’s still an early departure, I guess they could still do one.

Maximum Overdrive and Demons are two of my all-time favorite movies. Never seen the Hidden, have to check it out. I remember seeing Hardware in the theater when I was around 12 yrs old. I saw it once on video a couple years later as well. Don’t remember liking much about it, though. Maybe I’ll give it another shot as an adult with the commentary to make more sense of it.

watching a lot of Joe Dante, Larry Cohen and Corman produced films.

Have the Grindhouse book coming in the mail which has the screenplay for Planet Terror — pretty excited about that.

The Hidden is a class film. Jack Sholder was a good director, shame he vanished off the grid.

I’ve been searching out and revisiting these mixed-genre films for the last week. I definitely remember the original box art for Hardware, but not sure if I’ve seen it or not.

Any suggestions for Action-Horror (not sci-fi horror)?

I’ve got Maximum Overdrive — great film. Demons. The Hidden.

That’s about it for my Action-Horror.
