Most slasher films are crap – Friday the 13th, Prom Night, Terror Train, Final Exam, Graduation Day…..I could go on and on. However ‘He Knows You’re Alone’ is a great movie, a classic in fact and it deservedly earned it’s cult status. And as Scream 2 ripped it off that pretty much says something! A very infulential and highly enjoyable suspense horror. And it has very little blood for a movie released in the early 80s.

This too is one of my top favorites! It’s downright creepy, with a great story behind it. I love the jilted fiance turning killer idea. I like that the characters are likable and not just some punk kids getting killed. The scene with the professor in his house just scares the crap out of me everytime. If you have ever been scared of that creaking sound just outside your door, you can relate here. It sure is better than the crap out there now. And better than remakes!

I agree with Amanda By Night- This film (to me) is a really suspensful one and I actually really liked it the very first time i saw it- the characters are sort of in a way- believable- and I like the story and don’t look at it at all in any way as a ‘halloween rip-off?’ I loved it- then again I love alot of slasher films that people might hate- like splatter u. Great film!

It’s one of my favorites. I just like the characters so dang much and really find the film as a whole suspenseful. I know that puts me in some kind of minority, but I like it there!

I quite like this one, for some reason. I hated it on first viewing but, when I rewatched it years later when it came out on DVD, I found it quite suspenseful. It’s no classic, agreed, but I think the production values are good and it manages to avoid that feeling of “going through the motions”, perhaps because it came early in the cycle.

I agree, this is a pretty lame entry. The blue screen during the cinema scene at the beginning is just terrible, as is everything else about it!

I’ve never been able to get into this slasher, for the same reason as FINAL EXAM – bland, normal looking silent human-being slashers don’t appeal to me.
