New Trailers for Messengers 2: The Scarecrow

picture-2

Scarecrows have had a troubled history in cinema. With perhaps the exception of The Wizard of Oz and Batman Begins, the majority of movies that they appear in tend to be shite.  Anyone who has seen Emmanuel Itier’s 2002 disaster Scarecrow will see where I’m coming from.

The latest flick to flirt with the concept is Martin Barnewitz’s Messengers 2: The Scarecrow, a straight-to-video sequel to the Pang Brothers’ 2007 film, with a script courtesy from Jason X’s Todd Farmer.

FEARnet have managed to get hold of a couple of trailers in anticipation for Tuesday’s DVD release. Pre-order your copy from Amazon.com

  1. I’m in full agreement here, the Scarecrow films are unfortunately weak at best.
I like the slasher styled “Scarecrows” and the excellent TV terror “Dark Night of the Scarecrow”. As for the rest…Proceed with caution.
