I just watched this film after hearing it wasn't the abomination one might expect and I have to agree, it' a fun and suspenseful sequel with an excellent central performance from Perkins. I haven't seen the other sequels yet but I highly recommend the bargain priced Triple Feature set that collects all three films for those who are curious.

It was a bold move to make a sequel to one of the greatest films of all time, but...they actually pulled it off. I thought this film stood out as a fine sequel and I actually enjoyed parts 3 & 4 as well. At least Anthony Perkins starred in all of the films which added a bit of respectability to the franchise. Part 2 was the best of the sequels hands down though.
