Great review, Amanda! I'm also a big fan of this one. Discovered it around 3 years ago and loved it. Much like yourself, I really dug the score. Very effective indeed. I won't give anything away, but my favorite scene has to be the final moments of the film, just before the credits roll. Its when the viewer asks themselves what they've just witnessed and that, I think, is what makes this film stand out.

Too bad it's so obscure. This is definitely a slasher film that deserves a wider audience. I don't see it happening, but who knows? Maybe there'll be a proper DVD release in the near future.

I love MIRAGE. As far as I know, it was never released in the states(?), but is definitely worth tracking down. Look for Kenny Johnson playing a victim before he was famous for PENSACOLA: WINGS OF GOLD, THE SHIELD and SAVING GRACE.
