Jared, you just f*cking contradicted yourself. You said that gays don’t bother you, but are really screwed up? Seriously? Are you for real or just posting to get people rallied up for fun? A lot of emo people are ‘gay’ just to be different, but most aren’t. Also, a lot of “feminine panzy ones” can’t help the way they act. Some overdo it, but others are seriously normally like that. And to say if a gay acts “normal” is ok just proves that you are far from educated. Look man, reread what you are about to post before you do so otherwise you will end up looking like a bigot such as you do now. My god, I hope you are just being a funnyman and not for realz. to skarymovies: like i said gay people dont bother. i said what they do is nasty, thats all. i dont lose sleep over it i just think a lot of gay people are gay just to be different. a gay guy that acks normal is ok, but those really femine panzy ones are very annoying. gay people are just really screwed up.

Not to turn this into another discussion as often times things like these do, but yeah SkaryMoviez. Some people are ridiculous. Those that say they don’t believe in gay marriage and would keep their children far away from known homosexuals, but then say that they have no problem with gays and ‘have many gay friends’ (one of the most frequent and dumbest retaliations I hear time and time again) never see the big picture. It’s sad.

But I say, let’s look at what we have accomplished and work at what needs to be done instead of crying over the bitches who make life harder. Yays!

RHR,I disagree that being independent and lacking a budget is a recipe for a terrible movie. Some of the genre’s classics are no budget, independent wonders. It just takes new voices and imagination to make the gay horror genre stronger. I am working on that right now.

So gay people don’t BOTHER you, but you find it “so nasty”. I can almost guarantee you that there is someone in YOUR family, or one of YOUR friends who is gay and hasn’t come out.

I’ll jump in on this. I am ALSO gay, age 27 (almost!) and I edit/Direct horror/slasher films as well. I never had a problem with the lack of homosexuals in early horror films because when they DID have them they were looked down upon in the film. In “Night Warning” there was more homophobia than actual homosexual overtones and the same goes for “The Last Slumber Party” and “Sleepaway Camp”. Even in many European films the homosexual character is often looked at as if they are a person with a “problem” or they are overly sexual (like the Bisexual bitch in Tenebre). I guess my point is I don’t think horror films NEED gay characters, but if they were included more often then they should be less stereotypical. I liked the character in “Savage Weekend” because he kicked some ass. You know, I can kick some ass too but many people who only know me through the internet probably envision me as a big ‘ol femme queen or something, which is usually how homosexuals are portrayed in horror films anyways. I think if a film has a “Gay” character, it shouldn’t be real obvious. Portray them as just another character, instead of the “gay” character. We’re past the “token black guy”, so can we do the same with gays?

I can live with all of the excessive female nudity and NO gay characters, but when I watch a movie and hear the words “Fag”, “Dick Smoker”, “Queer” like in “The Last Slumber Party” or more recently, “Hostel”, that’s when it bothers me. It’s no better or worse than using the term “Nigger” or “Spick” in a horror movie for laughs. It’s rude, offensive, and most importantly, caters to the immature attitudes of the said “target audience”. That’s no entertainment, that’s bigotry. And the Director is utilizing his/her film as a form of hate. Horror movies should be fun, not racist or prejudice.

And for the record, most “gay-themed slashers” ARE terrible, but that’s usually because they are independent and lack a decent budget. I imagine it’s considerably harder to raise money for a “gay” slasher film, than “Maniac Kills Naked Chicks Part 27″.
