The problem is, “virtuous” often means “didn’t show their boobs”.
Halloween may not be the worst offender on the list, but two of its female characters are stabbed with their boobs staring at the camera.

That’s the reason why many people “condescend” to many slasher movies.
It’s cool when brave characters fight off evil; not that cool when the movie’s looking for excuses to kill women after they’ve shown their boobs.

Sorry, that’s kind of cheap and sick in my book.
