Streeting September 27 from Blue Underground is Lucio Fulci’s House by The Cemetery (1981), a unique blend of slasher and zombie flick. Cemetery also arrives on DVD the same date but will lack the first two of the listed special features, obviously for space reasons.

Not to be outdone by Arrow’s Maniac Cop BD, Synapse Films are working on a US release of the perfect action/slasher fusion with a pretty sharp cover and exclusive extras and interviews planned on top of the features from their original DVD release a few years back. Blu-Rays for Sam Raimi alumni titles Intruder and Thou Shalt Not Kill… Except are still being worked on, the company say.

The company also has the NY revenger The Exterminator (1980) on tap, it will include the original Dolby Stereo audio tracks for the first time, audio commentary by James Glickenhaus, and trailers/tv-spots. In his Exterminator article, Christian Sellers wrote: “The Exterminator was one of many films in the seventies and eighties which would portray the Big Apple as cesspit. Other notable examples include Taxi Driver, Maniac, Nightmare in a Damaged Brain and Basket Case.”
